Fundamentals of Real-Time 3D Visualization
Course Description The requirement for real time visualization in simulation introduces performance goals that can be far more demanding than in other applications. The key to success in this field lies in a thorough understanding of all the influences on visual performance and the careful planning and consideration of all the elements that constitute the final product. The goal of this course is to provide a baseline understanding of the fundamentals of real time 3D visualization. Everyone involved in visual simulation, from exercise planners and participants to software and content developers must understand how their roles influence each other and how the decisions they make affect the overall outcome. This course will start with the basics then build upon these foundations to include advantages and disadvantages of different approaches and techniques, performance strategies as well as common misconceptions and errors and mitigation strategies.
