If you are experiencing the  error "Could not initialize application. Error 9 (IPM). Please contact tech support."  Run the application as Administrator for the first time and this error message will go away. Subsequent launches as a normal user will work.

To do this Right Click on the Acron 3D Modeller EXE in the installation directory and choose "Run As Administrator"
